1. Who we are

This app is provided by intelligence.studio. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What data we collect

Email address (when you sign in with Apple or Google)
Phone number (when you sign in with phone)
Firebase anonymous UID (used to identify your account and subscription status)
Uploaded yard / garden / outdoor photos
Optional design selections and free-text notes (the style, features, and special requests you choose before generating a design)
Generated landscape design images
Subscription status and entitlements (managed via RevenueCat)
Device data (non-personal, for performance analytics)

3. How we use your data

We use your email address / phone number only to identify your account.
Your yard photos and your design selections (style, features, notes) are sent to OpenAI’s API and/or Google Gemini API to generate redesigned landscape images.
Generated results are stored securely on our servers.
We use your anonymous Firebase UID to identify your subscription across Apple, Google, and RevenueCat — we do not share your email with RevenueCat.
We do not use your photos for training or marketing without your consent.

4. Metadata stripping (EXIF / GPS)

Yard and outdoor photos very often contain precise location data (GPS coordinates), device identifiers, timestamps, and other EXIF metadata that could reveal your home address.

Before any storage or processing, we automatically:

Re-encode the image through industry-standard image processing libraries
Remove all EXIF metadata, including GPS coordinates
Drop camera/device identifiers from the file

This happens on the device and on our servers (defense in depth). After this step, only the raw pixel data is retained.

5. How long we keep your data

Photos and generated images are stored for 365 days.
Subscription records are kept for the duration required by tax and legal obligations.
You may request deletion at any time by contacting us — or delete your account directly in the app.

6. Third-party services

We share limited data with:

OpenAI API (for image generation — receives image pixels and the composed prompt only, no email)
Google Gemini API (for image generation — receives image pixels and the composed prompt only, no email)
Firebase (for login and authentication)
RevenueCat (for subscription management — receives only your anonymous Firebase UID, never your email or phone number)
Apple App Store / Google Play Store (for payment processing)

All partners are GDPR-compliant and process data securely.

As a user, you have the right to:

Access your data
Correct or delete your data
Object to data processing
File a complaint with your local data protection authority

8. Security

We use encryption and access controls to keep your data safe. Only authorized personnel can access your photos and account information.

9. Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy as needed. You will be notified of significant changes through the app.
